About Me
I’m a physiotherapist with over 20 years of clinical experience and a specialist interest in helping women move well, feel stronger, and reduce pain during peri- and menopause.
I graduated from Griffith University in Queensland with a Bachelor of Exercise Science and a Master of Physiotherapy, before moving to the UK where I spent over a decade working within the NHS across respiratory, medical and oncology wards, as well as in my musculoskeletal clinic.
This experience shaped the way I practise today. It taught me that pain and movement issues are rarely isolated to one area of the body. Instead, they are often influenced by a complex interaction between the musculoskeletal system, hormones, fascia, scars, and overall health.
Over time, I realised that traditional physiotherapy approaches were not always addressing the root cause of persistent pain and dysfunction. I began searching for a multi system approach to effectively treat the body.
That journey led me to Italy to train with the Stecco Team, pioneers in the technique Fascial Manipulation®. After three years of advanced training and clinical application, I became a Certified Fascial Manipulation Specialist, one of only a small number practising in the UK.
Fascial Manipulation focuses on fascia — a connective tissue network that links every muscle, joint and organ in the body. When fascia becomes restricted, thickened, or loses its ability to glide, it can create pain, stiffness, reduced mobility and altered movement patterns.
By restoring the health and movement of this system, we can often address the underlying cause of symptoms rather than simply treating where it hurts.
This approach is particularly valuable for women in peri- and menopause. As hormone levels change, connective tissues and fascia can become more sensitive, less resilient, and more prone to pain and stiffness. Many women suddenly develop symptoms such as:
joint and muscle pain
stiffness and reduced mobility
pelvic discomfort
headaches and neck pain
persistent aches that don’t respond to traditional treatments
Using Fascial Manipulation, I take a whole-body approach to understand how these changes are affecting you and create a hands on treatment plan that helps restore movement, reduce pain and improve how your body feels day-to-day.
I also have a particular interest in scar therapy and scar rehabilitation. Scars from surgery, injury, or procedures such as breast cancer and C-sections can affect the fascial system long after they appear healed. By treating scars and surrounding fascia, we can often improve movement, reduce pain and support better long-term function.
As a former high-level athlete, I understand the frustration of injuries and limitations that stop you doing what you love. My goal is to help you move more freely, feel stronger in your body, and regain confidence in your movement — especially during life transitions like peri- and menopause.
